More often than not, both women and men perform the wrong exercise routines for what they are hoping to achieve. It’s no surprise, since there are so many workout regimes available that actually confuse the general population.

What Do I Want to Accomplish?

Ask yourself this question before starting any kind of workout. If your goal is to become slimmer then search for those exercises that are designed specifically for this purpose. Don’t get stuck doing muscle toning if what you really want to do is lose weight. There are many different exercises that serve different purposes but are all equally important:

· Balance – Tai Chi, balancing your body on one foot

· Strength – weightlifting

· Flexibility – stretching of upper and bottom body

· Endurance – jogging, hiking, biking, dancing

All four of these are essential parts of your workout regime if what you want to do is become slimmer.

How Do I Become Slimmer?

This is a question that most personal trainers answer most frequently. Many want results immediately but the truth is a slim body doesn’t come over night. The combination of strength and endurance exercises will be the most effective in toning your body. Here are a few exercises that will help you achieve the perfect body:

· Running up the stairs – even though this activity doesn’t sound too appealing, it is one of the best ways to burn calories and eliminate fat from all the critical places such as the belly. Another great side-effect of this exercise will be visible in the form of toned leg muscles

· Rope jumping – this is a classic exercise used to burn calories and fat efficiently. The best way to perform this is by fast jumping for short periods of time repeatedly until you’ve completed your goal for the day

· Squats – repeat these for a set number of times daily and you will start seeing results in no time

Don’t Postpone the Exercise Routine

Patience is the key to success in all physical transformation processes. If you are committed to achieving your goal, you will have to be persistent in your daily workout routines. Don’t make up excuses for not working out; you can do it anywhere and anytime. These are the most common ones:

· I feel under the weather

· I have too many obligations

· I simply can’t find the time

· I don’t feel like it today

· I’ll start on Monday!

Don’t be one of those people who postpone their physical activity simply because of laziness. You will feel much better once you start practicing your daily slimming exercises and start noticing results. If you’re going abroad you don’t have to abandon your physical activities. In fact, that is the perfect opportunity to continue working out by taking long strolls for sightseeing. If you’re more of an adventure enthusiast, go for mountain climbing or biking through unpredictable terrains. These are definitely going to help with losing weight and toning up your body. Of course, safety comes first so don’t forget to complete an EHIC application in case you ever need some sort of medical assistance wherever you go!
