In-House Team?

Well a support company would work exactly the same way. They would fix remotely or they would send a technician out. The only difference that might occur is that to open a ticket, you might have to send a message from their website, or from your account on their website.

They will actually work on the maintenance of your systems. They will actually perform tests in the background to make sure that everything is working well, and they will make changes if they see something that might go wrong in the future.
They will also be proactive with your business. If they know of a piece of software or hardware that could improve your business practices, then they will inform you of their existence and see if you want to use them. Much like Alfred does for Batman.
You don’t have to hire a support company for your IT needs, if you don’t want to. Your business will still operate even if you don’t have support, but you will see issues when something breaks down, it you don’t.
